This is one of my favorite items.  It is just a foot.  I know.  I remember the thrifting day I found it and who I was with – Pamela, Paul and Allee- on the what used to be big thrift street in Ventura.  It was a cold glorious California fall day back in the 90’s.  It is such a compelling item for me.  That big toe makes me laugh.

This reminds me of a foot-shaped gas pedal my sister had in her 1971 Oldsmobile stationwagon (of course, it was shaped like a right foot!) and emblazoned across was “Lead Foot”. This label was totally appropriate, since my sister loved to exceed the speed limit..

This Is the exact shape of the foot shaped pedal I have on one of my keyboards in my recording studio. It’s the ultimate shape for a foot, especially in the 1960s. Don’t want to make you jealous but I have a full size version of this little tiny toed ashtray.
