So this always amazes me- all the drawings of the heads wearing the caps. That is a gift. What really kills me is the advertising on the side of the box. In case you couldn’t figure out the uses yourself. Someone went to all the trouble of listing the different clients that could possibly use these hats.

I found two of these many years ago and went absolutely insane for all the same reasons you do. What is so amazingly killer about it are all the different configurations that the hat can be formed into. I also love the perfect fading that’s occurred on the red piping.

The box is as good as the hat, Maybe better. I love in the bottom left corner it says ” Navy, Bakers, Air Force” as if working in a bakery constituted an armed service. Seems more appropriate that they would have switched Army from the right-hand side over to the left and grouped Bakers with Hospitals and Supermarkets but I guess that would’ve been too logical. The list of occupations underneath each of the cap models is also pretty nutty.

Overall, this is a stunning product and keeper of the Kitsch.

brilliant! i love it when advertisements and packaging unnecessarily list the uses for a product. my favorite current example of that is the commercial that advertises the little hearing aid type device that amplifies sound. the ad lists many uses for the earpiece, including eavesdropping on people’s conversations and sneaking up on animals to kill them – plus “you can even use it in church!”
