Dog Boots |

Here are a set of new-in-the-box Dog Boots. They were manufactured by “Hollywood Dog Togs, Inc”, who, according to the side of the box, apparently also were makers of the following quality products: Doggie Britches, Dog Coats, Dog Leads and Collars, Dog Boots, Doggie Sanitary Pads. I wonder what made some products for dogs and others for doggies? And how would our cat feel if we had him try them out?

I tried to get my dog Hawkeye to wear these so many times it seems like that all I was doing throughout the 1960s. I loved the soft red rubber but after three steps they started sliding under his feet like ill fitting socks do on a human. As pretty as these were they never worked. If Hawkeye were a female I probably would have tried those Doggie Sanitary Pads too. Hopefully, those wouldn’t have slid off quite as easily.
i love the little list of things it protects the (singular) “dog’s” paws from, plus the fact that they skipped past the most obvious “water” and just went on to “ice” and “snow” and “mud”…
