FIND OF THE WEEK. There is no such thing as a bad thrift shop! 3 out of 4 times you go and Nothing. But don’t give up! Found these 2 flawless bunches of Lucite grapes today the the Twice As Nice Thrift Store. I paid less than 20 bucks for both and walked out cradling them like newborns. The Teal Blue bunch with the matching blue plastic leaves are now my favorite in my collection. I am tearing up just thinking of them.~aaaaaaaaaaaaa 330

Having hundreds of clusters of these myself I can never turn my back on a gorgeous grouping of grapes. Lucite grapes are the official fruit of Kitsch.

Somehow, these and certain kinds of hanging spaghetti light fixtures have crossed over into being collectible by even non-Kitsch lovers. Which means the prices on them have skyrocketed. I used to be able to pick up a nice bunch for a few bucks but now your two for 20 sounds like a bargain.

I especially like the look of the blue ones, nice and slender, lots of grapes and translucent white leaves.

i quite like the positioning of the dog in the photo…including the optical illusion that the red grapes are his body – complete with front and hind legs and even a tail…it gets better and better if you stare at it a while and squint a little…
