Good Humor Ice Cream Wrappers and Stickers

Submitted by jack December 6th, 2009

The top two pictures are of wrappers for now discontinued Good Humor ice creams that are from the late 80s. The first one is a Fat Frog wrapper and the second one is a Bubble O’Bill wrapper (who had a bubble gum nose). The third picture contains vintage stickers that were used to decorate the sides of ice cream trucks and you can actually see what the Fat Frog used to look like.

I loved Good Humors as a kid and had a regular date with the truck every day at 4pm. My favorite was Strawberry Shortcake and there was an orange sherbet surrounding vanilla ice cream Creamsicle kind of thing that also drove me wild. By the time these new flavors came out in the ’80s I was already on to 31 Flavors and H√§agen-Dazs. Although I had a Strawberry Shortcake recently and it still sent me to the moon.

Are you still collecting current Good Humors?

I love the Good Humor Strawberry Shortcake! Glad they still manufacture those. But I mourn the loss of those swirly popsicle-like treats (snack pops?) that they no longer make, like the orange-grape combo. They were so much better than regular Popsicles.
