    I remember when my friend Janet’s little brother took an unused tampon in its cardboard tube to his grade school show-and-tell, as a rocket with its own launching tube.

    Rockets, Christmas angels and a variety of other things including my former dog Pickles’ favorite toy, tampons are a multifunctional product. I used to always carry a couple around and snip the ends off and stick them in my ears when the music was too loud in the recording studio.
