Ann-Margret BackStage Pass

In 1991 Ann-Margret made her Radio City Music Hall debut – She played a sold out week in October – this is a ALL ACCESS Back Stage pass given to the crew

Radio City has special meaning to her – in 1947 when A-M was 6 she and her mother finally made it to the US from Sweden to meet up with her dad who came years before.  The first night in the states after the boat docked in Ellis Island – her father gave them a tour of NY and capped it off with a night at the movies – they went to The Radio City Music Hall and saw the Jolson Story – A-M remembers not knowing what the movie was about since she spoke no English – but she never forgot the live show and the Rockettes

Flash forward to 1963 and Bye Bye Birdie had its world premier at Radio City – she was so proud to see her name on the marquee

In 1978 – Radio City was in trouble of being torn down – A-M headlined a NBC special with other guest stars such as Gregory Peck, Ben Vereen and Beverly Sills – they helped to raise funds and awarness to keep Radio City alive.

Love that you have so much A-M stuff and that you know the back story to everything. I’m still reeling over that Ann- Margaret wall hanging of yours… http://www.alleewillis.com/awmok/kitschenette/2010/02/16/ann-margret-wall-hangin/
