Panda’s Kitchen, Hanalei, Hawaii |
|
|

It’s not “Puff, the Magic Dragon,” but it is in Hanalei. Hanalei has been known for decades as a hippie hangout on the island of Kauai.
This restaurant is on Kuhio Highway, which runs through Hanalei. It is across from Yellow Fish Trading Company.

It’s a happy place, with happy Panda art, in a land called Hanalei.

The panda is one of the cutest animals alive. With this said they’re very prime to be overly cutesy when depicted in paintings and artifacts. This guy is right on the edge. Though I really like how the table is positioned so his feet have somewhere to rest.
Is it a Chinese food joint?
Yes it’s a Chinese cafe. I agree on your comment about the table by his feet, but would also add that it was interesting to me that they put him next to the gas meter, which is on the wall to his right!
Ah, yes. Excellent positioning!
