Allee Willis’ Kitsch O’ The Day – Beer Can Percussion Instruments
How I’ve sold 50,000,000 records and still don’t know how to read, notate or play music is in part because of these beer can shakers. I can always rattle them into some groove that I can hum a melody or write a lyric to. See, all it takes is some uncooked beans and rice knocking around inside some vintage tin. I’ll have some Rheingold with that beat please! Works everytime.

Cool! I noticed that you did this in, “Editing is Cool.” Allee, I like to write music on the piano. It is always how I have written music, but I can easily see why you can get a song by creating a rhythm first, and then singing along with the beat you are creating. Isn’t it funny how different people create music, and get inspiration from many varied sources. I enjoy collaborating with other people when I write a song. Do you like collaborating the best? Also Allee, Is this your usual mode of writing a new song?
