It’s Sister Bertrille

… the cornette wearing catechismic Miley Cyrus of the ’60’s. She wasn’t just flying the friendly skies of Convent San Tanco- she was in the recording studio. She was a nun with something to say. The ’60s were turbulent times, people! She had a message to deliver TO THE MAN.

Side one: “Count to Ten” which is about counting from one to ten. “Follow The Star” and “Turn On The Sunshine” remind the listener to follow the star and turn on the sunshine. Side two: “I’m On My Way” about walking around the corner, and “Find Yourself A Rainbow.” (This last song does not instruct. It merely urges.)

Will Sally Field re-release these songs? We can only pray.

The Flying Nun annoyed me when it was on the air as I was too busy watching more sophisticated fare like Shindig and Hullabaloo.

I love your travel guide of the titles. I’m especially fond of ‚ÄúI‚Äôm On My Way‚Äù, a song about walking around the corner, as it covers so much distance. This is the blahness I felt about the series when it was on.

Yes, this Sally Field was a catechismic Miley Cyrus. Besides, nuns scared me so the last thing I needed was one hanging around my room singing.

Sister Bertrille never WENT anywhere! She just hovered. Gidget at least had fun. Could’ve been an interesting story line if Sister ‘trille ever returned the come hither looks of playboy Carlos Ramirez (Alejandro Ray, feverishly stalking her in damn near every episode).

Shindig and Hullabaloo were far better fare, agree. Oh Baby C’mon – Let Me Take You Where The Action Is!
