This cheaply made timepiece featuring a bad scan of O.J. Simpson in the middle of two police cars perpetually trailing a white Ford Bronco around and around in circles as time ticks on was issued shortly after the Juice’s infamous slow-speed highway pursuit on June 17th 1994. Oddly, this watch is now stuck at 7:50, which is right about the time the chase ended that night in Brentwood.

I was so into the OJ trial I can’t even tell you. I was spending all my time at home trying to get my social network, willisville, that I started putting together in 1992 off the ground (https://www.alleewillis.com/willisville/index.htm)I and all I did was sit it there and watch TV while I was strategizing,The trial, the tv shows about the trial, anything and everything that was on. My doctor at the time was also the doctor who testified in the case and I knew other people associated with it as well so I was glued. Also, I had spent almost 3 years previous to it trying to explain how the Digital Age meant that all communication mediums would be linked and it would no longer be a choice between reading a newspaper or watching TV or going online ( for the few people who were actively online back then) but, rather, all these things would work together to make for grand scale events the likes of which we’d never seen before. That slow speed chase finally gave me a perfect example to refer to and finally people understood what I was talking about.
As fascinated as I was by the trial is how repulsed I am by OJ. With that said, this is a “killer” watch in all respects. And the fact that the hands are stuck at the time of the chase couldn’t be more perfectly timed.
