My Hat Collection Part 2

I thought about doing this by era, but frankly, I have so many photos that I don’t have the patience to try and organize them! So, here at least the grouping here is similar due to original hat boxes….

This is a hat that is likely from the 50’s or early 60’s though the style is VERY 1930s. Both box and hat are in mint condition, which I love and have worked hard to preserve. This is a hat I used to love to wear with vintage lace up boots and 30’s type day dresses (straight, plain cotton with embroidery and light/airy for summer time)……And of course, red lipstick :)

This is a fabulous example of a 1960s pillbox hat. I love it cause it’s not the conservative Jakie O type deal. This is straight up cocktail party glamour! Original box.

Totally dying over the font on the Mr. Frank hatbox. Love that it isn’t centered from top to bottom too.

The hat inside is classic. What’s that ribbon-like material called? And all the velvet bows going on are crazy. It’s a very church ladies hat too.

The Brown Thomson’s logo with the hat pins and feather as the top of the T is fantastic, only exceeded in greatness by the pillbox hat inside. That is so 60’s uppercrust with the peacock paisley design and that turquoise vail going over. It’s like the hat is wearing a hair net.

I Love your Hats…and the sweet little Black/White Hat Boxes they rode in on…smile
Both Hats look like they just stepped out of a Doris Day film…I can so see her wearing both!!! I wish the designers/stylist could bring back the little dinner and cocktail hat?
So much design goes into bags and boxes, I wonder if Brown Thompson’s was a Millinery Salon in Hartford???…
